Hertz So Good

Saturday June 8  2:45 am – 3:45 pm

Barn Classroom, Coutts Centre

Workshop with Rachel Soong and Raylene Campbell

Raylene will lead a few Deep Listening exercises to assist participants in warming-up and opening their ears, followed by a slow Soundwalk. The group will gather at the conclusion of the Soundwalk for a brief discussion, allowing participants to share their experiences. Bring your small, portable audio recording devices (if you have one) for a bit of field recording during the Soundwalk.

Rachel will focus on post-production sound broken into its three main categories: dialogue, music, and effects. In this hands-on workshop, you will become the editor, artist, and mixer. Together, we will recreate the sound for a short film, in a condensed version of a day in the life of post-production sound.
