2023 Media Arts Symposium + AGM in YEG

The Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society’s Annual General Meeting 2023 will be held June 10 from 12:30 pm -2 pm. This is a hybrid event, so you can register to attend online for free, or you can join us for our Annual General Meeting AND the day-long Media Arts tours and networking.

For Edmonton members, The 25$ in-person AGM + Symposium fee includes:

  • A catered lunch at the Art Gallery of Alberta while the AGM takes place
  • A tour of the AGA
  • A tour of Moment Discovery: a collective of artists and technologists united in a singular purpose: to let people experience the magic in human computing
    Followed by a pay-what-you-can BBQ dinner at the Orange Hub with Film and Video Arts Society (FAVA).

The symposium will run from 12:30 pm – 6 pm on June 10, 2023.

Don’t forget! If you’re interested in running to be on the AMAAS Board of Directors send a letter of intention to board@amaas.ca before June 10.

All aboard! Edmonton is calling. A media art bus trip to visit Edmonton media art centres, art galleries and for the AMAAS AGM and networking. 

To assist Calgary and southern Alberta area residents travel to Edmonton for the AMAAS 2023 Media Arts Symposium AMAAS is providing a bus service that includes:

– Return-trip from Calgary (departing and returning to Fort Calgary – 750 9 Ave SE) to Edmonton (Art Gallery of Alberta – 2 Sir Winston Churchill Sq).

– Two meals, onboard programming, tours and art gallery visits.

Total cost is $60. 

This trip is available to AMAAS Members only, join for free here

We encourage AMAAS Media Arts Organizational Members to bring staff, board and volunteers to this one day networking media art party and memorable journey. Great opportunity for caucus meetings, staff bonding, and knowledge sharing.
