During the Institute of American Indian Art (IAIA) 2018 Artist Residency in Santa Fe New Mexico, Janet Rogers developed the performance and sound piece titled Glimmering James; a memorial performance ceremony for and including the voice of renowned performance artist James Luna. With Luna’s audio recording titled The Cycle of Life, Rogers added sounds from the Santa Fe landscape and airscape to produce a performative ceremony including two female traditional dancers from the Santa Fe area.
