GETTING THERE

TRAVEL

 

BY CAR

Red Deer is an approx. 90 minute drive from Calgary or Edmonton. If you are driving to the conference and are willing to carpool with other conference delegates, please let us know in the registration form, or email us at conference@amaas.ca

 

BY BUS

There are many afforable bus services operating across Alberta including The Canada Bus, Cold Shot, Ebus, Flixbus, Red Arrow or Rider Express. Find out what works best for your origin of departure at: busbud.com

 

BY PLANE

There are limited flights that arrive at the Red Deer Regional Airport. You can also arrive at either the Calgary International Airport or the Edmonton International Airport, and then take a bus service to Red Deer. We can also arrange a carpool from the airport. Please let us know in the registration form, or email conference@amaas.ca

 

TRAVEL BURSARIES

We strive to have regional equity at the conference. If you live in Alberta outside of Calgary or Edmonton, and travel costs are a barrier to attend, we offer a limited amount of travel bursaries. Email admin@amaas.ca to inquire!

ACCOMMODATIONS

 

PARKHILL INN & SUITE – 4217 50 Ave, Red Deer

Our preferred hotel is Parkhill Inn & Suite, which is located walking distance (10-15 min. walk/3 min. drive) from all our evening venues, and a 7 min. drive from Red Deer Polytechnic. Complimentary breakfast of cereal, baked goods and fresh fruit is offered from 6:30am – 10:00am.
