John Osborne

John Osborne
Genesis is an animated film that traces the path of evolution from the big bang to the arrival of industry and the resulting impact on the planet. This journey, without words, is accompanied by an audio track of music and sounds. As the stages evolve from one to the next, they are recognizable but not realistic, making this video more allegory than documentary and fulfills the evolutionary message or perhaps even a spiritual one.

Artist Biography:
John began experimenting with abstract images and film in the late sixties and continued his interest in the visual arts after a career in information technology and environmental research. More recently, he began experimenting with computer generated patterns and abstract images and more traditional animation themes. John is interested in the relationship between sounds and images and exploring those through computer and video techniques and has shown films at festivals in North America and Europe.
