Lethbridge - March 2011

AMAAS is turning 20 and we're having a party! Actually we're having 3 parties but this one is in Lethbridge!

We're also raising funds and awareness for the Spirit of Helen Award. This is an AMAAS award given in honour of Helen Folkmann, an artist and arts advocate whose creativity, activism, strength and determination inspired people across Canada. Helen passed away in 2004, and this award acknowledges an artist, cultural worker ...or advocate whose contributions to Alberta’s media arts community reflects Helen’s remarkable spirit.

We will be screening Prairie Tales 12, having a 50/50 draw and some silent auction items. And most of all, we will be having a fantastic time meeting & greeting Alberta's Independent Media Artists!

If you are from points north, interested in coming down and checking out the scene - be sure to leave a message on the wall. I know that car pooling from Calgary has been tossed around!

This event is open to everyone interested in either making or partaking of homegrown talent!

More info to come as we get closer to the event!
