ALLY MEMBERSHIP FORM
Any organization that shares the aims and objectives of AMAAS. This class of member does not have voting privileges. Ally members can become Media Arts Organizations members if they satisfy the membership requirements.
Benefits:
As an AMAAS Ally Member you will be:
- Invited to attend AMAAS programming, workshops, professional development opportunities, networking, conferences and symposiums
- Kept informed about issues confronting independent media artists and media arts organizations
You will be contacted by AMAAS Staff or Board to confirm the following information:
- Statement of intent with respect to becoming an AMAAS member and how your organization meets AMAAS criteria
- Your organization’s mandate/mission statement
- A brief description of your organization’s activities
- Your organization’s governance structure (i.e. non-profit, collective, etc.)
- The date the organization was founded
- Any affiliations
- Number of members
- Communities served

AMAAS exists to advocate, educate, and celebrate the media arts in Alberta.
VISION
The media arts in Alberta is advanced through the generation of awareness, strengthening of connections, and continuous advocacy. AMAAS builds a sustainable and vibrant future for media arts in Alberta.
DEFINITION OF MEDIA ART
AMAAS defines media art as independent artist initiated and controlled use of film, video, new media, audio/sound art and related media.
